maayacolabackupHere are 2 colored versions of this drawing. In the end, I think I might still prefer the b&w sketch, at least until I have my copics ~~
The first one was done with what I call color-stacking. Basically, i lay down an uber-thick layer of colored pencil, and then I go through and erae erase erase so only a smooth residue remains on the paper. Then I take a paint brush, wet it with water, and smooth over. I let the paper dry, and repeat if I want to make a new color by blending. That's how I do art at school, where my tools are crayola markers and 10 colored pencils :)
The first version (blue version) is the original. The scanner at work is frightful, so this doesn't resemble, that much, the original piece as it looks in PERSON (grr), but this is it.
The second version is the same picture, except washed in brown watercolor. I like the atmosphere of it a lot. Feels like a movie set. Which was the aim.
I may or may not paint this sketch later, but it wouldn't be until I've moved to the States, because the last thing I want to do is buy stuff, at this point.
General art policy is if I draw it, and I say it's for you, you can take it and do with it what you will. I don't care, really, if you want to edit it, use it for banners, use it for whatever, the image is yours if I draw it for you. If I draw it for someone else, it's theirs. And if I draw it for myself, (which is most stuff,) ask me and I'll probably let you use it.
