Well. I admit I read this fic out of curiosity (as I stan both but hadn't considered them as a pair), but I wasn't prepared for 34k of pain. D: What really struck me about the fic was the characterisation and relationship dynamics; I think both Chanyeol and Kai are notoriously difficult to interpret, and the way you incorporated Chanyeol's constant smiling and wanting everyone to like him, to Jongin's sulky childishness really hit the nail on the head.
As for their relationship, it does make me wonder if this is (albeit less dramatic, I'm sure) a fairly accurate reflection of KaiYeol canon; they're both long-time trainees and technically should be "friends" but I do feel some sort of gap between them, perhaps because they're such polar opposites in some ways. (Of course that didn't stop me from wanting to shriek and scream at Jongin to stop being so childish all throughout reading the fic)
Enough rambling I really loved this, and I thought the whole soul-bonding plotline was a very interesting touch. Thank you so much for sharing! :)
