I almost never use stop-motion photographic capabilities. It's not something I'm really interested in because I'm more into the still-life stuff. Old houses, scenery, flower macros (such a sucker for these, you have no idea LOL I have entire folders of these alone. My family and friends's eyes all glaze over when I'm showing them...), that sort of thing. I just don't do well with people, bugs, or animals because they're not things I can control. (and being severely bug-phobic... *twitches violently* just no...It's kind of a problem with flowers, but I deal. Sort of LOL)

I always have the circular polariser on my camera. It's amazing and it makes the colours just POP. It really does make the scene so much better, so if you can get one, I really recommend them. But you need to look at the type of camera you've got, cuz they're not for every camera. I don't even think they're supposed to work with mine, but I use it anyway cuz I'm awkward like that. It works for me so I'm not gonna stop. :P It's the linear one I have issues with, tho mainly it's cuz the damned thing won't stay on. *glares at it* I think the thing is, with those types of filters, they're more for the skies? To make the blues deeper...but it does bring out the colours in the rest of the scene as well, I've found. You just have to work it, and found what works and how it works for you. And if it doesn't, then just find something else that does. :)

I think that's the beauty of photography - that despite the many rules of it, they're always made to be broken. You can get amazing shots from just about anything or nothing at all. Great shots from nothing more than a piece of paper and a cheap-ass camera phone. Or a balloon, a cheap cameara, and a few bits of styrofoam. (like that guy who got those amazing earth shots. Did you see those? the stuff cost the guy next to nothing and the shots were better than multi-billion dollar NASA kit. WHAT ARE THE AMERICANS PAYING THESE PPL FOR? really makes you wonder...)

You should! Come visit! \o/! It'll be so much fun. I love showing off my adopted country (or countries LOL) to people. It really is an undiscovered gem. <3 Hell, I'm still discovering it. hehehe
