i have read this couple of times now (if the fact how many times i've read this last chapter is ignored, which is too many times) and i just can't leave again without adding a comment because it feels so bad in my guts not to. like this text is freaking growing on me, i love every bit of it.
it's hard to put in words what exactly do i love because every component here is written so perfectly. i especially love this chapter's "what is love to you" conversation because it fits the characterizations you've written but still avoids all the cliches you could make in a convo like that. i love the way you've scattered pieces of their story in longer and shorter bits between the present and how it all still feels like a whole. and damn how you've made some short sentences with simple words to have so many feelings in themmmmm jfc, like idk it feels like reading a movie basically? like short beautiful flashes of the past and so if it makes sense. this has a really dark overall feel to it but i enjoy it nevertheless BECAUSE THERE'S TINY LIGHT AT THE END but not too much to ruin it! i adore fics like this but only when it is done in that one particular way and this surely is. which makes me even more happy to be reading this aaaaaaa
and gotta say, i've been reading your other stuff (after falling in love w/ this one) and i feel like i need to start adding comments more often, thank you.
