First of all, thank you so much for reading! Sometimes I wonder if the length is too much of a commitment.
As for India, Jin chose India because I love India. During university, I studied Hindi for a little while, on a whim with one of my friends, because I had a free period. But it's easy to fall in love, right? Then I went backpacking around India for a summer. I think, when people think about spiritual journey, they think about India and Tibet, because it's not so much religious as it is uplifting, right? Buddhism doesn't make you abandon your previous beliefs, nor does it make you choose some new deity to worship above your own. I think Jin's trip, in this story, was about self-discovery, and that's why I wanted him to go somewhere conductive to meditation and non-religious prayer.
