Definitely my favorite fanfic of all time, even if I don't ship Kai/Lay. I wish I could bring myself to rhapsodise about everything I've found absolutely lovely about this, but it'll take forever and it'll clog up your comments space. But can I just say that you're one of my favorite EXO fic writers? This fic was so beautiful, and I'm typing out this comment at 2am in the morning and I am half incoherent and I practically have no idea what I'm even saying right now, but I don't even care, because this was absolutely beautiful. I've always been a fan of photography, and the way you described everything and all the quotes of photography that you've inserted in was absolutely stunning and I was captivated by this fic the moment I read the first sentence.
I would copy and paste my favorite parts onto here and flail over them one by one, but like I said, I loved practically all of them and I think it'll be hard to paste so much onto here. :p I also love your characterisation; the way you described Yixing, and how he refused to photograph people anymore, but Jongin made him want to try again, Jongin made him yearn to photograph people again, because like you said, the world's in greyscale and Jongin's in short bursts of color. Jongin's the best photograph that Yixing will never capture. (Am I even getting this right? LOL)
