I agree so much with what you said about denial in romance. Because, I think, that's the reality. Sometimes people are afraid to be happy, to tell themselves that "yes I want this and maybe he/she wants me too". I guess it's the fear of rejection at the back of their heads that screams all different kinds of what ifs.

YES. omg I really thought they would and it seemed like there was this invisible force between them that's pulling them in and yet they don't go for it and it was just insane seriously. I still hold my breath just thinking about it.
