Yes, it's an unpopular opinion and I honestly don't understand why. From day one I was like, well Baekhyun would top (normally at least - in every relationship I think there will always be switching up) because, I don't know, I just look at him and I see it. He has a completely different presence on stage, he displays his inner ferocity as well as his almost domineering presence. Not to mention what you commented about control - I agree.
As I see Chanyeol he is very eager to please and he is very flexible (no pun intended). I think he would really be up to anything to appease Baekhyun and make him happy. Not to mention that he is constantly showering Baekhyun with affection and I imagine that he would like to receive that back in some way and just, yeah, to be Baekhyun as a top just works. It's always been my head canon and it makes me really sad that it's such an unpopular opinion and also how people freak out when they hear the concept =/
Also yes, Baekhyun wears the pants in the relationship xD
And yes, I agree. It's definitely not a dealbreaker. I imagine Baekhyun bottoms too, I think it's only natural when in a (good, stable) relationship. But at the same time I think he tops, most of the time even. It just really fits with me.
