this was absolutely beautiful and i loved the notes that gave the list of ballets mentioned (i had the spartacus adagio clip on repeat while reading this, it was beautiful)

i love the way that you captured the split between the old and new, off- and on-stage, pre- and post- debut, and really showcased the confusion jongin experiences and then somewhat resolves at the end. i think it was quite fitting seeing what the fandom has experienced thus far with jongin/kai. he seems so confident on-stage, but then he's all awkward little kid the next minute in an interview.

personally, i love the entire use of ballet in this. the fact that everything fits so well with the tempos and dance moves really brought everything together as a liaison, just as it was mentioned that the connections should be as thrilling to the audience as the actual elements.

in addition to the great wealth of knowledge embedded in this fic, i really enjoyed the variations of the line Kim Jongin is not crazy. it really ties everything together for me on another level in that we try to deny that something wrong could be occurring but in this, we enable it to happen. just like when jongin realizes that he never tried to push kai away, it's as if he opened the door for kai to remain inside of him previously.

Now you can catch your breath.
i think this had to be one of the best lines of the fic, including the variation lines, because i feel it not only applied to the actual story but to the readers. as you brought us through the adagio and then the andante and finally the allegro, i felt like i was holding my breath. only when i arrived at the end of the fic could i reach that moment, as jongin had stated previously, where my heart is caught in my throat before everything ends and the show is over. i think it was amazing that just your writing could have such an intense effect on my emotions overall.

this is really a tremendous piece and i hope i haven't bored you with my overly long comment lol
i genuinely love this and i cannot wait to read more from you.

very, very well done!
