Okay first of all I would like to say that Kai/Jongin is my number one favourite pairing otp of otps etc. and second of all I would like to say that I am a dancer and love ballet and ;;;;;;;;; i'm sorry for the incoherency of this comment i have a lot of feelings. This was spellbinding and almost overwhelming, I stopped exo fandom for a little while but saw this and had to read it.
I loved the use of "Fact:" it is one of those literary devices I have always enjoyed as well as dividing everything into elements of ballet and giving definitions to go with them, and the attention to detail.
I loved the interactions that Jongin and Kai had with themselves and with others, especially the small nuances with Sehun as well as the sex (which is oh so hot). I loved how you described the transformations and the changes, the sensations that Jongin feels when Kai takes over, I loved how you handled the whole Kai/Jongin thing entirely it was beautifully and masterfully done, the way you wove them together to be fluid and one.
I loved the steps that were used, what they stood for and the imagery they evoke because I am just sitting here thinking and imagining each of the steps as they happen and it really contributed to the experience of reading this fic. I also love all the ballets referenced especially because the rite of spring is probably my favourite ballet ever and I basically just love stravinsky and tchaikovsky their music and their ballets have gotten me through a lot. I loved how you incorporated the plots and themes of the ballets into the story itself and how you integrated the ballet into the heart of the story.
I loved the pacing and the spacing, the way you moved short pieces and long pieces and the exposition of the story and transitioned from barre to centre work. I love the dialogue and what isn't said, I love what goes on in Jongin's mind and how EXO and others perceive and speak with him.
I still need to catch my breath this was an absolutely marvellous and incredible read, you've done two of my favourite things beyond justice. Thank you so much for sharing. ♥
