Looks like we agree, haha. And yeah, if you can't see that GD is bipolar (type II?), you aren't paying attention. ^^ I think he has a particular issue blaming other people for his low moods, AND/OR, starting drama/picking a fight to get that adrenaline rush that's missing after the high from being on stage/being in love starts to fade. And I kind of... don't approve... because I think this is kind of... abusive... but I also kind of... can't look away. And what's the alternative? Being depressed? Obviously, that's no good either >_> So, I am conflicted about this group.
(Actually I think marijuana or other non-escalating drug use would be better, but that's where me and the Korea public diverge in our opinions lol.)
The depressing thing would be... the implication that most of the members of Big Bang are really severely depressed (and come from troubled family backgrounds). Which is something I personally believe. But it's not a pleasant thought, so I try not to dwell on it too much. ^^ But yeah, deep personalities for sure.
Agree with you about YG. I don't know, I think you can be bad without meaning to be? But I have personal reasons for holding that opinion. >_> In any case, it's definitely a relationship that both sides profit from. Teddy and others do seem to be "in charge" at YG - whether or not Teddy is good at people, he writes the hit songs, so he's got a lot of power. There do seem to be a lot of really really talented people at that company - whether it's because YG has that reputation for quality, or because they're more open to people born outside of Korea or just eccentricity in general, I don't know - but it's definitely there. You probably know more about it, actually, if you lived in Korea! Do you speak any Japanese or Korean?
